The event will take place in the special presence of Venerable Tulku Thubwang Tenzing Rinpoche (Sujan Gurung), an invited religious leader from Nepal. The religious program will include lamp lighting, Gyasi (planetary peace ritual), long-life prayers, Sang (incense offering), and Ganachakra Puja.
The puja will be conducted by Tulku Thubwang Tenzing Rinpoche, Khenpo Tsering, chief lama of BCC UK, along with Lopen Sonam, Lopen Jigne, Lama Akhil, Lama Dinesh, Lama Karma, and other respected religious teachers.

Gurungs around the world observe Lho (animal year) change every year on 15th Poush with special significance. Accordingly, this year Gurungs worldwide will bid farewell to the Snake Year and welcome the Horse Year, informed Major Hitman Gurung, Vice President of BCC UK and Program Coordinator.

The program will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, during which the new Lunda (sacred thread) will be changed. For planetary peace rituals, the Gumba is collecting materials such as Satkyu–Patkyu (mixed grains), nails, and related items. Interested devotees are kindly requested to bring these materials to the Gumba by 11:00 AM on Tuesday, 30 December.
The program will include free tea, snacks, and meals. Devotees wishing to contribute through food donations or lamp offerings are requested to contact the Gumba.
The Lhosar program will be held under the chairmanship of BCC UK President Ang Dawa Sherpa. To ensure the success of the event, the entire BCC UK executive committee, Ama Samuha led by Ama Chief Jagana Gurung, former presidents, former Ama chiefs, and advisors have taken special responsibilities, according to Coordinator Major Gurung.
He has also warmly requested all Nepali brothers and sisters residing in the UK to participate in the religious and cultural celebration.
